A little bit of New York is coming to Berkshire in June with a free event for home workers at Crowthorne Enterprise Centre on Crowthorne Business Estate, following the success of similar events in Shropshire last month.
Jelly was started in New York three years ago by a couple home workers who felt the need to get out more. Described by its founders as a casual working event where people come together to work for the day or part of the day, to work, chat and share ideas, it is being organised by Lyn French and Hazel McLellan whose business findgoodcustomerservice.com was launched earlier this year.
‘Isolation is one of the biggest challenges of working from home,’ they say, ‘Jelly is a friendly way for home workers to get out of their home office for a change of scene, a good chat and a shot of inspiration.’Free wi-fi access along with free parking will be provided by Crowthorne Enterprise Centre, which provides another alternative to working from home in the form of meeting rooms, virtual offices and office space available on flexible terms.
The first Berkshire Jelly will take place between 9 am and 4.30 pm on Wednesday 23 June. For more information go to http://wiki.workatjelly.com/Berkshire,-UK. Fifteen free places will be available from 24 May at http://berkshirejelly.eventbrite.com
